I wanted to give a shout out to Design everest and Chris Mckay. We were doing an extensive remodel of our house. In general, communicating back and forth between the architect, the engineer and the permit process is very time consuming and I was very frustrated with the engineer I was working with (one person outfit). I decided to switch to Design Everest and this proved to be a good move. Through a couple of revisions, they had reasonable rates and good turnaround time, even though the engineer assigned to me was based in LA. Chris helped drive this to completion in a timely manner and was very good in communicating status..kudos to Chris and design everest!
Design Everest was the best thing that happened to me when it came to choose a reputable architect company for my dream project. Their communication, work ethic,execution is just top notch. Our main architect was Roman(??) who did a stupendous job from start to finish. My Project was complicated and city of san jose planning deptt was not of any help but design everest team not only helped us meet all the permit requirements but also helped in addressing all the city comments hence getting construction permits. Even during the construction if we had any problem, design.e was right there to help us. I dont know where i would be today without them ,maybe/probably just lost in permit process. They just helped me realize my dream . i highly recommend them and will use their services again if needed.

We have had an outstanding experience with Design Everest. Our architect referred us for the structural portion of our home addition and remodel. Once we agreed to the quote(which was highly competitive), we received a contract immediately. After we made our deposit, we very quickly had an appointment for the onsite evaluation. From there, we were advised a couple of weeks for completion of plans for our project. Aakash and his team came through with flying colors. Every email was answered promptly, changes requested were readily made and all in all, I would have to say that the team at Design Everest truly wants to exceed their clients expectations and create long lasting relationships. Our completed plans are ready to be presented to the City of SJ for permits and while I anticipate no issues, I will come back and update that process once we get to the other side. Thank you to Aakash and company for the positive experience!

Design Everest Engineering was extremely helpful throughout our renovation process. Akash was timely and professional and always available throughout renovation. Design Everest services included providing blueprints and construction drawings, making renovation recommendations, obtaining city building permits, and assistance with passing all inspections by the city. On numerous occasions, I required him to speak w/ city and provide engineering letters and calculations to the city inspector, Akash was always available and responded promptly. He genuinely cares about his customers and the outcomes of their projects. I highly recommend his services and will definitely contact him if I ever need structural engineering services again.

Design Everest (Akash and Team) were great support for the remodel project work at my residence in San Jose. The work required structural corrections and Design Everest team were meticulous in their design work and structural drawings. The detailing was apt and I had no difficulty at the city office. Also I had few iterations of change order and Akash was very supportive and prompt in helping through each one of them. I had such a wonderful experience with Design Everest and Aakash. I knew it was going to be good from the get go because of their quick response. I had left messages for other structural engineers and either they called back several days later to just say the project isn't big enough or some never even called. Design Everest collect all the information needed, sent out their contract and got started right away. They did an excellent job on our Saratoga project. I highly recommend them!
