A lot of people are freaking out right now, not knowing what is next, or just "not knowing" which is the greatest source of modern day human anxiety. After one of the most stressful high schools in the country, one of the hardest majors at UC Berkeley, eight years of being an entrepreneur, bootstrapping a company, and dealing with all aspects of "real life" along the way from relationships and family to travel and self-exploration, here is what I've learned which helps me stay calm, composed, do the right thing, and be at relative peace inside despite whatever turbulence there is outside:

I believe that there is something out there. People call it different things: god, the universe, higher consciousness, simulation, etc. We can't see it because it's not actually "out there", no matter how far out we look into the universe. I believe that it is inside of us, inside our "software", inside the "software" of the universe. We have been looking at the hardware for so long and not paying attention to the software, but that is where the real magic lies.

And whatever it is, whatever you want to call it, it has a plan, and all we have to do is not mess with that plan, not get in our own way. In hindsight, everything that has happened in my life has happened for a reason. I had to see it to believe it. I believe this is what Steve Jobs meant in his Stanford commencement speech, that the dots only connect in hindsight. So until they connect, you just have to trust it. All we have to do is not get in our own way, not get in the way of that plan, and we are at peace. Happiness is short term while peace is long term.

This may or may not make sense to everyone, but I hope that it helps!
